Edenbrook revisited

As designers, we can sometimes forget to go back to the places we have created once the final seed is sown or lawn laid to see how they are being used and how the landscape has matured. However, it is important that we do, as valuable lessons can be learned about what, and sometimes what doesn’t, work.

In late Summer 2023, we tasked Studio Maple to capture our urban extension for Berkeley Homes at Edenbrook Village, situated on the western edge of Fleet, Hampshire, which we delivered alongside JTP. This sustainable community comprises 300 new homes, whilst retaining and enhancing existing landscape features to set the village within its environment and aid placemaking.

The village benefits from a 24 hectare country park and visitor centre, as well as 18 hectares of open space, including a BMX track, eight sports pitches, allotments and other recreational facilities, all linked by a comprehensive network of footpaths and cycleways.

We think its bedded in very nicely and hope you do too.
