We are delighted to announce that the development at Haven Banks, Exeter received planning consent at the committee meeting on Tuesday 5th December. This represents a fantastic team effort and paves the way for this exciting new scheme to be realised.

Haven Banks is a mixed-use development located south of the River Exe, Exeter. Formerly home to a Bowling Alley, the site sits just south of Piazza Terracina and will breathe new life into the area as part of the ‘Liveable Exeter’ programme of urban regeneration.

The development will provide co-living and build-to-rent housing, alongside commercial uses, set within a landscape that makes significant reference to the site’s industrial heritage through its new public realm and usable open space.

The materiality of the landscape reflects the former rail sidings and quayside operations, and an intimacy within the public realm has been created through the approach to soft landscape.  Pedestrian and cycle movement will take priority, creating opportunities for rest, informal children’s play, rain gardens, biodiversity net gain, community growing areas and pop-up community events.  The proposals also include green roofs and communal podium gardens on the upper floors that provide outside space for residents and further opportunities for planting.

Congratulations to the client, Welbeck CP. fabrik are proud to have worked alongside CoPlan Estates, Piper Whitlock, Union4, Richard Jackson, RGP and Cudd Bentley to achieve this fantastic result.
