We’re delighted that planning approval has been granted for the Preston England Temple to expand with a Faith and Learning Centre. Proposals include a visitor centre, a teaching block, a communal and faith building and two accommodation blocks for attendees to the church’s For the Strength of Youth (FSY) programme.
The Preston England Temple lies in Chorley, Lancashire and is a religious site for members of the Church of the Latter-day Saints. The Faith and Learning Centre’s purpose is to accommodate the church’s annual youth programme, hosting young members from around the world.
We’re proud to have led the landscape planning and design, shaping a campus that celebrates its unique setting and its different uses. The campus provides a social space that is safe and welcoming for visitors to share knowledge and experiences, with multifunctional outdoor spaces that accommodate learning, encourage the participation of activities and promote social interactions to form lifelong friendships, all sensitively designed with and around nature.
