Liz Simes
Liz has experience in all aspects of landscape architecture, but specialises in landscape planning. At the initial feasibility and site promotion stages of a project, she applies the techniques of landscape and visual assessment, and considers the project against the lessons learnt from the Appeal process, to inform recommendations for both greenfield and brownfield sites. She has extensive experience of assessing landscape, townscape and visual effects across a range of projects (including commercial, residential, minerals, waste and renewable energy) throughout the UK. She has undertaken assessments from within World Heritage Sites, National Landscapes, National Parks, Green Belts, historic parks and gardens, landscape gaps, Special Landscape Areas and Conservation Areas, and has been successful as an Expert Witness. She also has experience of both community and stakeholder consultation and the design panel review process.
