Maria Pitty

Maria is a recent landscape architecture graduate from the University of Edinburgh, with an interest in residential, coastal and park design. Through her university experience, she developed a reflective approach to the exploration of landscape architecture, grounded in the kinship and synergistic relationship between humans, wildlife and landscape. Central to her approach is to see design as not only a way to shape our public spaces, but as means to foster identities, connection and resilience. Her Panamanian-born background and travelled experience not only allows her to encompass an understanding of diverse cultures and landscape, but also drives her approach to develop schemes that respond both to societal contexts and the challenges of a changing world and climate.
